I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and clinical supervisor in Wisconsin, offering clinical supervision for pre-licensed social workers (usually called APSWs in Wisconsin) as well as counseling interns and LPC-ITs. I especially enjoy supervising other social workers and clinicians who value ethical practice, evidence-based care, and thoughtful, relational work with clients.
My Approach to Clinical Supervision
Supervision is one of the most meaningful ways I contribute to the field. I see it as both mentorship and partnership—supporting clinicians as they build confidence, refine clinical skills, and develop a strong professional identity while meeting licensure requirements.
My supervision style is collaborative, relational, and grounded in social work values. I believe effective supervision balances skill development with reflection, ethics, and attention to the broader systems and identities that shape both clinicians and clients.
I strive to create a supportive and thoughtful space where supervisees can:
- Ask questions openly
- Strengthen clinical judgment
- Navigate ethical and professional challenges
- Grow into confident, competent clinicians
Supervision with me integrates structure and accountability with warmth, curiosity, and respect for each clinician’s developmental stage.

What People Are Saying
“Erin is a supportive and encouraging supervisor who consistently empowers growth. I know she will support me in navigating any challenge I might face. This has pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone and made me a better social worker and therapist.”
“Erin embodies and exemplifies many of the core components of social work and leadership that are often easiest to lose touch with when we feel overwhelmed. She does not only practice integrity in her work with clients, but she demonstrates integrity every single day through our individual and team interactions. Erin is reliable, honest, and transparent as a supervisor. She regularly seeks out everyone’s input, welcomes new ideas and perspectives, and is receptive to concerns or issues raised by both the team and myself. She allows me to explore areas that I am most interested in, and welcomes me to utilize all the skills and the strengths I bring to the table – no matter how niche they might be.”
“She also consistently encourages all members of our team to hold healthy boundaries with our work and clients, helping protect us from burnout and empowering us to truly be our best. This line of work can be emotionally exhausting, and mental health professionals (especially therapists) tirelessly practice empathy and compassion. We thrive on it. We become deeply invested in understanding our clients and supporting them to be their personal best, which can make it easy to neglect our own wellbeing.”
“This is where Erin doesn’t just talk, she walks. She acknowledges the importance of self-care in this field and actively encourages us to engage in it for self-preservation. Erin understands that in order to best serve our clients, we must first take care of ourselves. Self-care is often something that is performatively preached in this field, but having the opportunity to be Erin’s intern and witness her recognize, reorient, and step back from work in a healthy and appropriate way during a difficult time is something I will carry with me throughout my entire career.”
Trauma-Informed & Evidence-Based Supervision
I am passionate about evidence-based practice and trauma-informed care. Much of my clinical work centers on trauma survivors, and I enjoy supervising clinicians who work with children, adolescents, and adults impacted by trauma.
In supervision, I support clinicians in thoughtfully integrating trauma-focused, evidence-based approaches—including EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT—through:
- Case conceptualization
- Treatment planning
- Ethical application of interventions
- Developmentally informed care
While I do not provide formal certification supervision or training in EMDR or TF-CBT, I enjoy helping clinicians apply trauma-responsive principles in ways that are ethical, effective, and aligned with their scope of practice.

Why Supervision Matters to Me
As a millennial and an Enneagram 2, I bring warmth, care, and genuine investment to the supervisory relationship. I believe high-quality supervision is one of the most important protective factors in our field—for clinicians and for the clients they serve.
It is an honor to support clinicians during this formative stage of their professional journey.
