About Our Logo
What’s with the two birds in the tree?
Dr. Neill says:
I believe that we are who we are because of the people and experiences that have shaped our lives (for better or worse). Two of the most influential people in my life were my grandparents – Mimi and Gramps. Mimi loved cardinals, and it is said that when you see a cardinal in your yard, someone is visiting you from Heaven. Gramps’ nickname was Jaybird, so he’s represented by this blue bird here.
When I was looking for a space to expand both my group therapy practice and establish Root + Evolve, I was waiting outside of a building I was hoping to move into when I saw a cardinal and a blue jay in a tree next to us. It felt like a sign from my grandparents that this was the right direction for me. I knew that day they had to be a small part of R+E and I wanted them in the logo’s tree.
